A Down South Hood Chick: An Urban Fiction Novel

Dreama is a bad girl, hustling to survive the only way she knows how. Life wasn’t always easy for her, but it wasn’t the worst. Love was the last thing on her mind because catching feelings didn’t come with a check. The empty feeling she felt deep inside would have to be placed on the back burner while she got her money. There was nothing wrong with the way she lived, although her family disagreed; she could do without their opinions though. The fast lane was the only one she considered her own. That is until she meets Crook.

Crook is as gangsta as they come and is always looking for his next come up. He’s robbing and scheming his way to the money by hook or crook, hence the name. He knows he can’t hustle forever, so he’s trying to get it while it’s hot. Crook sees something in Dreama that she doesn’t see in herself and he wants to mold her into the woman he knows she can be. However, he is turned off by the fact that she’s in the streets almost more than him. The only thing they really have in common is that money is the motivation. He’s going to make it out of the hood and wants to bring her with him. Can he change her for the better into the woman she needs to be or is she to set in her ways?
